Yoda!

I was away over the 4th of July and having a great time getting away and camping, but deep in the recesses of my mind I was eager to get back and get this Yoda painting done in time for the Comix Rock show. I found this old frame and knew a Jedi master had to be in it. I tried a new technique with laying all tones underneath and doing color washes over the surface of the dried tones. It worked out great. Left the final image a little darker than anticipated but overall it led to a colorful image that fit perfectly with the frame.

Art and music showcase!

I'm a member of the Indy Webcomics Group (IWG) and we have an annual event known as Comix Rock.  This year I was put in charge of a lot of stuff.  I organized a mini-comic and contributed the cover along with a page and a pin-up.  I also designed and screenprinted their poster for the show.  Yeah!  The green glows in the dark too!  I have some color variants available at the show and am also hanging quite a bit of art at the show.  I had so much fun at last year's show and it was really what locked me in to being a part of IWG.  I'm really thankful they let me take on so much for this years show and i hope everyone who comes out has as good of an experiance as I did last year.  I already have ideas for next year and would love to make more posters but I think it would be better if as a group we gave more people the chance to experiance the difficulties and great discoveries of putting all these elements of a show together.

Proof I'm stupid (like you needed it)

I recently struck a deal and did illustration for someone's business card who worked at a printing press. I jumped on the chance to get some business cards of my own.  I asked them to print me like a hundred and I guess they liked my work enough to give me what looks like 1000.  Unfortunately I sent them the wrong blog information, but luckaly this was still available.  Sorry for the sparseness of this thing, but I don't doubt I can ramble on enough to fill it in no time.Probst.
